Woman Suffers Chronic Pain After Car Accident; Settled for $200,000
After being involved in a crash in which the defendant pulled out of a side street, and struck her car on the driver's side, a woman now suffers chronic pain from a cervical soft tissue injury. Physical therapy and steroid injections did not yield positive results, and it was determined that she would need future medical care. The defendant argued that the nature of the injury was minor, and the woman should have already resolved her medical issues; if she needed any future medical care, it would not be much.
