Hodes Milman represented a 52 year-old pharmaceutical sales representative who developed a neurological disease as a result of Zyprexa, an anti-psychotic medication. The plaintiff was prescribed Zyprexa in 2003 and remained on the drug for five years. She later developed Tardive Dyskinesia, a facial and speech disorder, causing a deterioration in the plaintiff's quality of life. Hodes Milman attorneys argued that because of the drug's potential negative side effects, and the availability of suitable alternative drugs, their client should not have been prescribed Zyprexa in the first place. Hodes Milman settled the case for $850,000 on behalf of the plaintiff.
